1. Your cloud consists largely of virtual machines running legacy applications

👉 Use the governance tools of your cloud provider. Set up billing alerts. Add tags to resources that create visibility. Discuss within the team which resources are not being used and whether they can be deleted.

You have a team that oversees your cloud, but maybe they have other responsibilities and aren't an actual cloud team. Often there is simply a lack of knowledge as to which services cost the most or the least.
